Plug-and-play wireless modules are pre-programmed modules that execute wireless functions using simple ASCII text commands. User-friendly and requiring minimal setup, plug-and-play modules are companion devices that send these commands using a UART interface (a common communication protocol in embedded systems) to any MCU.
The pre-programming sets plug-and-play devices apart from other wireless modules and SoCs.
