Automotive Mixed Signal Products
Microchip offers innovative mixed-signal products including data converters (Analog-to-Digital Converters (ADCs) and Digital-to-Analog Converters (DACs)), energy measurement ICs and digital potentiometers which are AEC-Q100 qualified for use in automotive applications. Microchip’s AEC-Q100 qualified products are designed to operate in both high-temperature and electromagnetic environments and to meet the rigorous demands of the automotive industry. Our products come with extensive datasheets and are backed by Microchip’s expertise in the automotive field and exceptional support.
Successive Approximation Register (SAR) Analog-to-Digital Converters
Microchip’s Successive Approximation Register (SAR) ADC portfolio is a great choice for designs where low power consumption and superior AC/DC performance are needed, especially in the harsh automotive environments. With products ranging from 10-bit to 16-bit resolution, a wide selection of speed capabilities (22 ksps to 1 Msps) and variety of AEC-Q100 temperature grades, our cost-effective SAR ADC portfolio provides the flexibility to meet your automotive design needs.
Delta-Sigma Analog-to-Digital Converters
Microchip offers 24-bit automotive-qualified Delta-Sigma ADCs. These devices feature sampling rates up to 125 ksps, low-power operation, low-output noise and both I²C and SPI interfaces. The accurate and robust nature of these ADCs can minimize development risks, making them an ideal choice for demanding automotive applications.
Energy Measurement ICs
By offering a variety of energy measuring solutions, derived from generations of innovation in the utility metering and switch mode power supply (SMPS) markets, Microchip has developed a portfolio of high performance, AEC-Q100 qualified single-phase and poly-phase power measurement solutions for automotive applications. Microchip continues to offer flexible solutions for any automotive related energy measuring needs where a high level of accuracy is expected. The high accuracy of our products helps designers to enhance performance, increase reliability and reduce energy consumption. In addition, extensive integrated features in our power-monitoring ICs results in off-the-shelf products that mitigate the need for extensive metrology knowledge and lower the overall design resources needed.
Digital to Analog Converter
Microchip offers low-power Digital to Analog converter (DAC) devices in 8- to 12-bit resolution and one to four channels. The unique integrated non-volatile memory option allows for the DAC’s configuration to be saved at power down and can help reduce microcontroller overhead while also simplifying the design. Several devices also integrate the voltage reference. The very high-accuracy and low noise performance of these devices makes them ideal for automotive applications.
Microchip offers a variety of low-power, compact devices featuring six to eight bits of resolution, one to four channels, available with both volatile and non-volatile memory. Microchip’s digital potentiometers can be used in automotive applications such as sensor calibration, smart actuation, and dimming in displays and lighting. These low-power, compact devices feature six to eight bits of resolution, one to four channels and are available with both volatile and non-volatile memory.
We offer a wide selection of high-accuracy, low-cost series and shunt voltage references for demanding industrial and automotive applications. Our portfolio of automotive-qualified voltage references will help you create many new system designs for space-constrained applications that require an extra level of reliability.
