Ethernet Bridges

Ethernet bridge devices enable you to implement Ethernet connectivity to a host processor via USB, High-Speed Inter-Chip (HSIC), Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI™) or PCI Express® (PCIe®) interfaces. In the case of USB, these solutions enable fanning out the local bus, providing flexibility towards additional downstream ports.

PCIe to Ethernet

USB to Ethernet Hub Combo

  • Fully-integrated 2/3/4-port Hi-Speed USB 2.0 hub and 10/100 Ethernet controllers
  • UniClock technology uses a single 25 MHz crystal for both USB and Ethernet connectivity to simplify the clocking scheme, eliminates the need for extra components when adding USB hubs and reduce system BOM cost
  • Support for multiple operating systems including Windows® 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows CE, Windows Mobile, Linux® and macOS®, among others
  • Industrial temperature range (-40° to 85°C) options available

Standalone USB to Ethernet

  • Single-chip, Hi-Speed USB 2.0/HSIC to 10/100 and 10/100/1000 Ethernet controllers
  • Requires only a single 25 MHz crystal
  • EEPROM-less design option helps to reduce BOM costs
  • Implements reduced power operating modes including enhanced energy detect power-down
  • Supports numerous power management features including Wake-On LAN, Magic Packet™ and Link Status Change
  • External MII and Turbo MII (available for speeds up to 200 Mbps)
  • Industrial temperature range (-40° to 85°C) options available
