IP Camera

An increased need for security by home owners and enterprises, and the desire to remotely monitor via smartphone or tablet, is driving major deployments of network-enabled digital surveillance systems. Legacy analog cameras are transitioning to next-generation digital IP networked cameras, known as IP cameras. These digital IP cameras provide higher resolution, advanced analytics and connectivity to the IoT that their analog counterparts cannot deliver. The improved network communication is made possible via use of an Ethernet based connection that is typically enabled by an Ethernet PHY device.

Microchip offers a broad industry-leading portfolio of 10/100 Mbps and 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet PHY solutions that are high performance, have small footprints, and utilize the innovative EtherGREEN™ platform that provides flexible options to minimize power consumption for emerging IP camera applications.
