Dual-Core Microcontrollers (MCUs) and Companion Analog Front Ends (AFEs)

At the core of our smart energy platform is the SAM4C series of MCUs. The SAM4C4/8/16/32 are built around a dual high-performance 32-bit Arm® Cortex®-M4 core with a maximum speed of 120 MHz, up to 2 MB of embedded Flash, 304 KB of SRAM and advanced security features. This architecture allows for integration of application layer, communications layers and metrology functions in a single device. This modular approach is sure to meet a variety of design needs.

The ATSENSE-301, ATSENSE-201 and ATSENSE-101 are AFE devices targeting metrology applications. They feature up to seven channels of high-precision sigma-delta ADCs with a 16 ksps sample rate, a highly accurate, integrated Vref with 10 ppm/°C temperature stability, programmable current signal amplification, a temperature sensor and an SPI interface

Dual-Core Metering System-on-Chip (SoC) Solutions

The SAM4CMx4/8/16/32 SoC solutions integrate our software metrology and are based on the dual Arm® Cortex®-M4 architecture for smart energy platforms, providing a maximum speed of 120 MHz for each core, 2 MB of embedded Flash and 304 KB of SRAM.

Our software metrology provides an unprecedented level of performance, scalability and flexibility to support the integration of proprietary advanced metrology and signal processing algorithms. Our standard library can be used to create residential, commercial and industrial meter designs with up to class 0.2 accuracy and a dynamic range of 3000:1. This library also supports shunt, current transformer and Rogowski coil current sensing and is compliant with IEC 62052-11, 62053-22/23, ANSI C12.1, C12.20 and MID.
