The MCP19124 is a mid-voltage (4.5-42V) analog-based PWM controller with an integrated 8-bit PICTM Microcontroller. This unique product family combines the performance of a high-speed analog solution, including high-efficiency and fast transient response, with the configurability and communication interface of a digital solution. Combining these solution types creates a new family of devices that maximizes the strengths of each technology to create a more cost-effective, configurable, high-performance power conversion solution. These products allow the development of flexible power supplies that can be configured perfectly to the target application with minimal external components. In addition, these devices can be programmed to dynamically respond to measurements or events within the system, dynamically tailoring the operation to the environment, or intelligently responding to faults for robust operation.
This device contains two independent outer control loops, which can be configured with separate feedback networks, and separate references. The analog voltage loop can be set to control a constant voltage, or the analog current loop can be used to set a constant current on the output. Regardless of which outer loop is being used, both outer loops take advantage of a faster, inner current loop for peak current mode control with fast transient response. With this unique architecture, switching between constant-voltage and constant-current operation is smooth and monotonic; it can be done dynamically during operation without glitching or undesirable transient effects.
Fast programming, increased functionality, at the same price as its predecessor, the PICkit™ 3.
The MPLAB PICkit 4 now has Programmer-to-Go functionality for 8-bit, 16-bit and 32-bit PIC MCUs and dsPICs and also SAM MCU devices . The firmware update comes with MPLAB X IDE v5.30. AVR is expected soon!
The MPLAB® PICkit™ 4 In-Circuit
The MPLAB® ICD 4 In-Circuit Debugger/Programmer is Microchip’s fastest, cost-effective debugging and programming tool for PIC® and SAM Microcontrollers (MCUs) and Microprocessors (MPUs), dsPIC® Digital Signal Controllers (DSCs), and CEC flash microcontrollers. This speed is provided by a SAME70 MCU with 300 MHz, 32-bit MCU with 2MB of RAM and a...
The MPLAB® PM3 Universal Device Programmer is easy to use and operates with a PC or as a stand-alone unit, and programs Microchip's entire line of PIC® devices as well as the latest dsPIC® DSC devices. When used standalone, data can be loaded and saved with the SD/MMC card (not included).
The MCP19125 is a highly-integrated, mixed-signal low-side synchronous Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) controller featuring individual analog PWM control loops for both current regulation or voltage regulation. The MCP19125 also features an integrated microcontroller core, making it an ideal device for battery charging applications, LED lighting systems, and any other low-side switch PWM...
