The high-performance Microchip picoPower AVR RISC-based CMOS 8-bit microcontroller combines 2KB flash memory, 128B EEPROM, 128B SRAM, 18 general purpose I/O lines, 32 general purpose working registers, a single-wire Interface for on-chip debugging, two flexible timer/counters with compare modes, internal and external interrupts, serial programmable USART, a universal serial interface (USI) with start condition detector, programmable watchdog timer with internal oscillator, and three software selectable power saving modes. The device operates between 1.8-5.5 volts.
By executing powerful instructions in a single clock cycle, the device achieves throughputs approaching 1 MIPS per MHz, balancing power consumption and processing speed.
A complete starter kit and development system for the 8-bit and 32-bit AVR microcontrollers that gives designers a quick start to develop code on the AVR, with advanced features for prototyping and testing new designs.
The AVR device connects to the STK600 using an innovative routing and socketcard sandwich system, which routes the signals from the device to the appropriate...
