The board provides everything you need to start developing embedded applications using any of the chipKIT-compatible IDEs, but in addition, the chipKIT Cmod is also fully compatible with Microchip's MPLAB® X IDE. Note, however, that to develop embedded applications using MPLAB X, a separate device programmer/debugger, such as the Digilent chipKIT PGM (TDGL015) or the Microchip PICkit™3 Programmer (PG164130) is required.
