Automotive-Qualified MCP1781 Low Dropout Linear Regulator
The MCP1781 is a Low Dropout (LDO) Linear Regulator that is automotive-qualified to meet AEC-Q100, capable of delivering up to 200 mA of output current over a wide temperature range from -40°C to +150°C. As automotive electronics advance, the need for dependable and efficient power management solutions is increasing. Vehicles today incorporate numerous sensors, ECUs and control systems that require stable low-voltage power, even when operating from high-voltage electrical systems. Designed to meet these demanding requirements, the MCP1781 offers a low quiescent supply current of 34 μA (typical), a shutdown current of 2 μA (typical) and maintains stability with a minimum 3.3 μF ceramic output capacitor. Key features include a high power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) of 80 dB at 100 Hz and 55 dB at 100 kHz, current foldback protection, thermal shutdown protection and an open-drain Power Good output for monitoring the regulated output voltage. With a maximum input voltage of up to 55V DC, the MCP1781 is well-suited for robust operation in automotive and industrial environments, making it ideal for applications that demand fast supply disconnect and reliable voltage regulation.

MPLAB® AI Coding Assistant
The MPLAB® AI Coding Assistant is a powerful tool to eliminate switching between your code editor and technical documentation. Now, Microchip has expanded its knowledge base from its vast library of videos, datasheets, app notes, user guides, code examples and kit support pages. The tool generates highly precise application code in seconds from a plain English prompt, answers complex technical questions directly in the IDE, analyzes and explains existing code blocks, suggests optimizations, and helps identify potential bugs with greater contextual awareness. Additionally, the tool operates as a natural part of the VS Code workflow with an even broader set of data to pull from, minimizing the need to search for documentation. By integrating directly into the VS Code environment, the MPLAB AI Coding Assistant acts as a real-time specialist. To get started visit VS Code Marketplace.
