The ATMXT288UD-A is the smallest Automotive qualified
touchscreen controller in a VQFN-56 package with wettable flanks, aimed at
smart surfaces and multi-function displays up to 6.5”.
Excellent intrinsic SNR of this latest maXTouch family
enables detection and tracking of multi-finger thick gloves through a wide
variety of overlay materials and thicknesses, even in the presence of moisture.
This SNR combined with a high acquisition speed provides a fast, accurate and
reliable a touch position.
The ATMXT288UD-A incorporates a new low power mode for
wake-up on touch, this enable the system to go into a wait-for-touch mode
while consuming less than 50uA and to wake-up by a touch event anywhere on
the touch surface.
This technology also enables adaptive touch utilizing
self-capacitance and mutual-capacitance measurements so all touches are
recognized and false touch detections are avoided.
The controllers also incorporate a new self and sensor
diagnostic function, which constantly monitors the integrity of the touch
system. The new ATMXT288UD-A device brings these smart diagnostic features in
support of the Automotive Safety Integrity Level as specified in ISO26262.
