Overview
Microchip’s SLVS-EC FMC (VIDEO-DC-SLVS) enables evaluation of Sony’s high-speed SLVS-EC receiver IP on PolarFire® FPGAs for advanced CMOS image sensor applications.
The FPGA-based reference solution supports up to 4.7 Gbps per lane (2/4/8 lanes) and is ideal for automotive, medical, and industrial edge vision systems.
SLVS-EC Block Diagram
AN5188 describes how to run the PolarFire® SLVS-EC video demo using the PolarFire video kit, SLVS-EC FMC, and HDMI monitor, built with the Libero® SoC Design Suite.
The PolarFire® Video and Imaging Kit must be used to work with SLVS FMC.
The SLVS FMC daughter card supports the following hardware features:
- Sony IMX530 camera sensor
- 2 GPIOs for I2C
- 8x Transceivers
- SLVS-EC FMC Daughter Card
- QuickStart Card
