The USB-C Power Delivery Dual Charging Port Demo kit is part of Microchip’s Early Access program which allows our customers to purchase our new MCP19061 USB Power Delivery Four Switch Buck-Boost Analog Front End and UCS4002 USB Type-C Port Protection Device, before they are officially released.

- USB-PD Dual Charging Port demo is used for charging USB-PD connected devices, providing output voltages from 3V to 20V and output currents from 0.5A to 3A.
- Maximum input voltage ranges from 6A to 18V (Recommended value: 12V)
- Support total output power of > 100W.
- Operate in conjunction with the GUI through USB-to-serial bridge.
- All operational parameters are programmable by utilizing the two integrated UPD microcontrollers.
- MCP19061 device operates in a 4-switch buck-boost topology for the purpose of supplying USB loads and charging two USB channels.
- UCS4002 device provides USB-C protection with VCONN-FETs.
- Fully assembled, programmed and tested to evaluate and demonstrate digitally controlled “Smart Charging” applications for various USB-PD loads.
