Demonstration of Microchip’s New Live Update Flash Feature from APEC 2015
Microchip demonstrates the Live Update capability of its new dsPIC33EP “GS” family of digital signal controllers (DSCs) for digital-power applications. Here, Tom Spohrer from Microchip shows Power Systems Design Editorial Director Alix Paultre a demonstration of Live Update in a high-availability or “always-on” system, where it is being used to change the firmware of an operating power supply’s active compensator calculation code, while maintaining continuous regulation.
