Our Core10GMAC IP implements IEEE 802.3-2012 10GBASE-R with an XGMII Media Access Control (MAC) interface and connectivity to FPGA transceivers through PMA or 64b/66b modes. It provides a complete MAC and PCS layer that pairs directly with the 10.3125 Gbps Serializer/Deserializer (SerDes) in our PolarFire® FPGA, PolarFire SoC and Radiation-Tolerant (RT) PolarFire FPGA devices for standards-compliant 10G Ethernet links.
This makes it well-suited for high-throughput FPGA designs such as industrial and medical imaging over 10 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE), edge-to-cloud data streaming for AI systems, high-speed data acquisition and custom networking equipment where deterministic, low-latency Ethernet connectivity is required.
