SAMA5D2 Series

Automotive Qualified SAMA5D Series


The SAMA5D2 series of MPUs features a high-performance, ultra-low-power Arm® Cortex®-A5 processor that runs up to 500 MHz, an Arm Neon™ SIMD technology engine, a 128 KB L2 cache and a Floating Point Unit (FPU). They support multiple memory devices, including latest-generation technologies such as DDR3, LPDDR3 and QSPI Flash. They integrate powerful peripherals for connectivity, such as EMAC, USB, dual CAN and up to 10 UARTs, and user interface applications, such as TFT LCD controllers, projected capacitive and resistive touch controllers, class D amplifier, audio PLL and Complementary Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor (CMOS) sensor interface

The SAMA5D MPU family is supported by our Power Management Integrated Circuits (PMICs) to efficiently and safely manage its power requirements. These devices offer advanced security functions to protect customer code and secure external data transfers. These security features include Arm TrustZone® technology, tamper detection, secure data storage, hardware encryption engine, on-the-fly decryption of code stored in external DDR or QSPI memory and a secure bootloader.
