The MCP3221 12-bit A/D Converter (ADC) communicates using a standard 2-wire I2C? compatible interface. This application note will cover communications between this device and a PICmicro microcontroller. Hardware and software implementations of I2C will be covered. The code supplied with this application note is written as relocatable assembly code.
