Chiptorials – How to Implement Public Key Rotation with ATECC608 TrustFLEX
Do you need to differentiate users handling the same machine or cryptographically track different firmware versions? This Chiptorial will navigate the embedded developer from A to Z to implement the public key rotation use case using the Trust Platform Design Suite (TPDS) software tool from Microchip. We will be using the ATECC608 TrustFLEX secure authentication IC from the CryptoAuthentication family that’s on the DM320118 CryptoAuth Trust development kit.
This use case will go through the cryptographic concepts, advantages and disadvantages of implementing or not public key rotation. Next, we open TPDS and start from the beginning to take you all the way to setting up your product-grade secure authentication leveraging Microchip secure key provisioning service.
Make sure to download the Trust Platform Design Suite to get started.
