MIPI Soundwire I3S

Arasan's MIPI SoundWire IP portfolio provides a complete audio connectivity solution for integrating digital audio peripherals into mobile, embedded, automotive, and IoT systems. The Total MIPI SoundWire IP Solution includes SoundWire Master Controller, Slave Controller, PHY IP, software stack, protocol analyzer, and hardware development kit (HDK), enabling rapid adoption of the MIPI SoundWire standard. The interface is optimized for transporting audio streams, control information, and configuration commands over a compact two-pin connection while minimizing system complexity and power consumption. Supporting MIPI SoundWire v1.0, v1.1, and v1.2 specifications, the IP enables high-speed, low-latency audio communication with support for multiple audio channels and advanced audio formats. The architecture leverages DDR-based data transmission, clock scaling, and configurable bus lanes to provide efficient bandwidth scaling across a wide range of audio applications. The solution is particularly well suited for digital microphones, Class-D amplifiers, audio codecs, and other cost-sensitive audio peripherals requiring a low-power, standards-compliant connectivity solution.
