Fan Controller EMC21XX

Microchip manufactures several fan controllers with thermal management features for notebook and laptop computing applications. These features include multiple internal and external temperature channels, aging fan detection and dynamic fan speed adjustment based on measured temperature.

Super I/O Controller LPC47N21(N), SIO10XX

Super I/O controllers are usually on the motherboard of laptops and notebooks and serve to combine interfaces for a variety of low-bandwidth and legacy devices.
