Plug-In Module - Motor Control

The dsPIC33CH128MP508 Motor Control PIM is designed to demonstrate the capabilities of the devices from the dsPIC33CH128MPxxx family of dual core, 16-bit Digital Signal Controllers (DSCs). The dsPIC33CH128MPxxx devices have two DSC cores, namely ‘Master Core’ and ‘Slave Core’, that can run independently at different device frequencies. This PIM can be used to demonstrate and develop a single motor control application by inserting it in the 100-pin PIM interface header provided on compatible motor control development boards. When operating this PIM on the dsPICDEM™ MCLV-2 or MCHV-2/MCHV-3 Development Boards, use an external op amp configuration matrix board. This PIM also works with the the Low-Voltage Motor Control Bundle.

For single core debug of either the Master or Slave, use the programmer/debugger interface provided on the development board (where the PIM is plugged in). The Master and Slave cores of the dsPIC33CH128MPxxx devices can also be debugged simultaneously. In Dual Debug mode, two debugger tools must be interfaced with the device for Master and Slave debug. A 5-pin header (unpopulated) is provided to interface an additional debugger tool required for Slave debug in Dual Debug mode.

This plug-in module comes with an 80-pin dsPIC33CK256MP508 TQFP device. It enables using the OpAmps on the MCLV-2, MCHV-2 and MCHV-3 boards. It can be used with the Microchip MCHV-2 [DM330023-2], MCHV-3 [DM330023-3], MCLV-2 [DM330021-2] and Low Voltage Motor Control Development Bundle [DV330100]. This PIM is not compatible with the MCLV[DM330021] or MCHV [DM330023]. This PIM can be used to evaluate the dsPIC33CKxxxMP50x, and dsPIC33CKxxxMP20x devices.This plug-in module (PIM) features an dsPIC33CK256MP508 80-pin TQFP device. This PIM can be used to evaluate the dsPIC33CKxxxMP50x, and dsPIC33CKxxxMP20x devices. This plug-in module (PIM) features an dsPIC33CK256MP508 80-pin TQFP device. This PIM can be used to evaluate the dsPIC33CKxxxMP50x, and dsPIC33CKxxxMP20x devices. It enables using the internal OpAmps on the dsPIC with the MCLV-2 [DM330021-2], MCHV-2 [DM330023-2], MCHV-3 [DM330023-3] boards and Low Voltage Motor Control Development Bundle [DV330100].
This plug-in module comes with a 64-pin dsPIC33EP256MC506 TQFP device. It enables using the OpAmps on the MCLV-2 and MCHV-2 boards. It can be used with the Microchip MCHV-2 [DM330023-2] and MCLV-2 [DM330021-2]. This PIM is not compatible with the MCLV[DM330021] and MCHV[DM330023]. Use the MA330028 with the MCLV and MCHV development boards.

This PIM can be used to evaluate the dsPIC33EPxxxMC50x, dsPIC33EPxxxMC20x, and PIC24EPxxxMC20x devices

It can be used with the Microchip MCHV-2 [DM330023-2] and MCLV-2 [DM330021-2] development boards. Notice: This PIM CANNOT be used with the original MCHV [DM330023] or MCLV [DM330021] development boards. Use the external OpAmp PIM [MA330031-2] to use the dsPIC33EP256MC506 with original MCHV or MCLV boards

This plug-in module comes with a 64-pin dsPIC33EP512GM706 TQFP device. It enables using the on chip internal OpAmps on the dsPIC device. It can be used with the Microchip MCHV-2 (DM330023-2) and MCLV-2 (DM330021-2) development boards.

Processor Plug-In Modules are small circuit boards to be used with the various Microchip Development Boards to evaluate various MCU families. These plug into the main processor socket of the Development Boards so that different microcontrollers can be used for prototyping, demonstration or development --quickly and easily.

The dsPIC33EP512MU810 is designed to demonstrate the capabilities of the dsPIC33EP512MU810. The dsPIC33EP512MU810 is a high-performance 16-bit Digital Signal Controller (DSC).

The dsPIC33EP64MC504 PIM is designed to demonstrate the capabilities of the dsPIC33EP64MC504 Motor Control devices using external Op amps with development boards such as the dsPICDEM™ MCLV, MCHV, and MCSM (DM330021, DM330023, and DM330022), which support 100-pin PIM interfaces.

This PIM can be used to evaluate the following MCUs:

The dsPIC33EV256GM106 5V motor control plug in module (PIM) comes with a 64-pin dsPIC33EV256GM106 TQFP device and enables users to explore the innovative features of the 70MIPS, 5V dsPIC33EV using both internal and external op amps with the Low Voltage Motor Control Development Board, (DV330100), by using its 105-pin interface.

The dsPIC33FJ32MC104 plug-in modules are designed to demonstrate the capabilities of the dsPIC33FJ32MC104 motor control device using the dsPICDEM MCLV-2 Development Board (DM330021-2) and dsPICDEM MCHV-2 Development Board (DM330023-2). It is also compatible with the dsPICDEM MCLV Development Board (DM330021) and dsPICDEM MCHV Development Board (DM330023).
The dsPIC33EP512MU810 Dual Motor Control Plug-In Module (PIM) is designed to facilitate the development of Motor Control applications using two motors and one Digital Signal Controller (DSC). Two Microchip dsPICDEM™ motor control development boards can be used with this PIM to control 3-phase BLDC, PMSM, ACIM or 2-phase stepper motors. A flexible cable connects the two boards together and routes all signals to the appropriate pins on the DSC. The configuration of the cable and signals was carefully chosen to support a wide range of dual motor configuration application notes written for the dsPICDEM™ MCLV, MCHV, and MCSM Development Boards.

Note: For the use of this PIM with the MCHV Development Board (DM330023), Rev 4 or earlier version of the Development board must be upgraded to support the dsPIC33E Family of Devices. Please contact your Microchip Applications Engineer to obtain this free upgrade.
