FPGAs for Motor Control

Our PolarFire® SoC, PolarFire®, SmartFusion® 2 and IGLOO® 2 FPGA families provide flexible, multi-axis motor control IP and reference designs for industrial, robotics and aerospace applications. FPGA-based implementations deliver deterministic, low-latency performance for high-RPM and multi-axis motor control systems, enabling precise and scalable motion control.

The PolarFire® SoC FPGA motor control solution supports sensor and sensorless Field-Oriented Control (FOC) for BLDC motors by combining real-time FPGA-based control with a Linux® software environment.
