Our Integrated Graphics and Touch (IGaT) Curiosity Evaluation Kit features a 32-bit SAM E5x Arm® Cortex®-M4 based controller to run the graphics and touch functions on a single chip. This single-MCU and complete touchscreen solution is a cost-effective and space-saving way to step up a design from buttons and LEDs or 7-segment displays to a full-color TFT display user interface.
Microchip QT8 Xplained Pro kit is an extension board that enables easy evaluation of the 2D Touch Surface library.
The DM080101 Water Tolerant Touch Surface development kit enables easy evaluation of the 2D Touch Surface library running on a ATtiny1617.
The DM164149 Water Tolerant 2D Touch Surface development kit - PIC MCU Edition enables easy evaluation of the 2D Touch Surface library.
The product is a development platform that will use an Arm® Cortex®-M4 SAM E51 MCU driving both the graphics and touch processing functions to a display module that has a touch sensor overlay, but no dedicated touch controller.
This design showcases a low-cost, integrated touch and graphics solution that will differentiate it from the currently available solutions in the market:
· This design eliminates the need of a dedicated touch controller and the need for tuning the controller. This reduces cost and complexity that puts it ahead of the vast of offering of ARM M4 graphics and touch solutions in the market
· All firmware, including the graphics and touch library and demo applications, will be publicly available thru the integrated MPLAB® Harmony v3 Framework.
The Microchip Touch Bridge (MTB) is a tuning bridge for Microchip touch designs with the convenience of bidirectional communication wired (USB) or wireless (Bluetooth). The Microchip Touch Bridge firmware is provided through MPLAB Discover and continously upgraded in features.
MPLAB Tools for VS Code are a set of extensions that integrate the MPLAB development ecosystem with VS Code, offering a seamless and efficient environment for developing designs based on Microchip devices.
MPLAB X IDE is a highly configurable software platform that provides powerful, free tools for developing, debugging and qualifying embedded designs that use microcontrollers and digital signal controllers.
MPLAB Code Configurator supports 8-bit, 16-bit and 32-bit PIC® microcontrollers. MCC is incorporated into both the downloadable MPLAB X Integrated Development Environment (IDE) and the cloud-based MPLAB Xpress IDE.
MPLAB® Harmony is a modular framework that provides interoperable firmware libraries for application development on 32-bit microcontrollers and microprocessors.
maXTouch® touchscreen controllers support multi-finger, gloved-finger and wet operation for screens up to 24” in diagonal size that are used in a variety of automotive, home appliance, medical and industrial applications. Regardless of the conditions, these touchscreen controllers are designed for robust and reliable operation in challenging environments. Host serial I2C, SPI and USB communication interfaces are available across the product portfolio.
This video describes some of the challenges associated with touchscreen controller design, and introduces our maXTouch® touch sensor module partners as a tool to reduce complexity and lower risk.
