The MCP3564R microCurrent Monitor is leveraging the high dynamic range of MCP3564R 8-Ch 24-bit Delta-Sigma ADC to measure both small (µA) and large (800+mA) currents on a 0.05R Shunt, using two High Side Current Sense Amplifiers like MCP6C02 and MCP6C26, with a fixed internal gain of 50. The two different amplifiers were used because they complement each other in terms of input voltage, allowing an overall measurement between 0V and 65V. For improved measurement precision at low currents and voltages, a 0.1% precision voltage reference (MCP1501 – 3V) is present along with a 0.1% resistor (300R) to calibrate the ADC. An onboard EEPROM is present for saving the calibration parameters if needed.
