Overview
The VSC8541 EDS2 Daughter Card is designed for evaluation of the Microchip VSC8541 Gigabit Ethernet RGMII Switch when used with a Microchip EDS2 compatible host board. A SODIMM 260-pin connector for the EDS2 Host – VSC8541 Interface is used due to its high performance, high pin count, and low cost.
- VSC8541 10/100/1000 Ethernet PHY with RGMII/RMII
- VXM7-9013-25M0000 crystal for 25 MHz
- Compliant with the SODIMM EDS2 interface specification
- Single 10/100/1000 Mb RJ45 integrated connector and magnetic with LEDs
- MIC2790N Reset supervisor with Reset LED indicator
- Test points for GPIOs, power rails, and GND
