Simplify Power, Security and Automotive Designs With Microchip Tools
Microchip's latest evaluation boards for power management, embedded security and automotive LDO regulators are now available. Explore what's new and start building today.
Every design has moments where complexity creeps in—whether it's managing multiple power rails, adding security to a disposable device or qualifying a new LDO for an automotive platform. Our three newest evaluation boards are built to take the friction out of those moments, so your team can focus on the application rather than the setup.
MCP16503 PMIC Evaluation Board
Part: EV05A95A

Designing power architecture for FPGAs and high-performance MPUs often means managing many discrete components across multiple rails. The MCP16503 addresses that by consolidating power delivery into a single, highly integrated PMIC supporting four 1A buck channels and two 300 mA LDOs.
Getting started is straightforward. The board includes the MCP2221A USB-to-I2C/UART bridge, allowing engineers to monitor and adjust power rails directly from a host computer.
Best for: FPGA and MPU power design, commercial and industrial compute platforms
XSFN MikroBus Security Board
Part: EV14Y33A

Adding hardware-based security to a disposable or consumable device does not have to mean a lengthy setup process. The EV14Y33A is designed to get engineers prototyping with our ECC206 and SHA106 security devices in the compact XSFN package as quickly as possible.
The board is compatible with Microchip-designed kits that support the MikroBUS footprint, and a stackable header allows additional MikroBus click adapters to be added on top—keeping the workflow flexible as designs evolve.
Best for: Disposable cartridge business models for medical, consumer and cosmetic markets
Automotive LDO Breakout Board
Part: BB58Y01A
![]() |
The BB58Y01A is a cost-effective breakout board designed to support evaluation of nine Microchip automotive-grade LDO regulators on a single platform. Rather than sourcing individual evaluation boards for each device, engineers can assess the full lineup in one place—supporting high-voltage and low-voltage automotive applications alike.
The nine supported devices—MCP1722, MAQ5283, MCP1781, MCP1793, MIC5233, MCP1726, MAQ5300, MCP1825S and MCP1826S—span input voltage ranges from 2.1V to 120V and output currents up to 1A, covering applications including:
- Body control modules, instrument clusters and infotainment systems
- Door modules, remote keyless entry and immobilizer systems
- eBikes, e-mobility and high-voltage power tool battery packs
- Backup camera modules and GPS receivers
- Industrial, telecom and battery-powered systems
Best for: Automotive system designers, AEC-Q100 qualification testing and industrial and battery-powered applications
