Analog Simulation - MCP14T0517


The MCP14T0517 is a push-pull transformer driver designed for compact, isolated power supplies operating from a 3V to 5.5V DC input. It integrates two power MOSFETs to drive center-tapped transformers and features an internal oscillator with a gate drive circuit that provides complementary outputs for ground-referenced N-channel switches. The device controls the slew-rate of switch voltages to minimize EMI, utilizes oscillator dithering, and allows for an external switching clock for precise harmonic placement or multi-driver synchronization. Protection features include 2.5A peak current limiting, undervoltage lockout (UVLO), thermal shutdown, dead time generation, and a soft-start function to prevent high inrush currents during power-up.
