Important Notice Regarding FPGA Software, Design Files and Licenses

Introduction: On May 29, 2018, Microchip Technology Inc. (“Microchip”) completed its acquisition of Microsemi Corporation. A copy of the press release regarding this acquisition is available on Microchip’s website, www.microchip.com.

Information Transfer from Microsemi SoC Corp. to Microchip: Microsemi Corporation or its affiliates (collectively, “Microsemi”) operated the Microsemi SoC(FPGA) portal for Microsemi SoC Corp.’s FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) business, accessible via https://www.microchip.com/en-us/products/fpgas-and-plds/documentation(“SoC Portal”). Based on our records, we understand that you were granted access to this portal, which contains certain documentation, software, or licensing resources related to Microsemi SoC Corp.’s FPGA products or services (collectively, “FPGA Technical Resources”).

Following the acquisition, Microchip and Microsemi have been working to review and integrate existing business operations.

We are excited to announce that the FPGA software, design files and licenses are moving to myMicrochip and microchipDIRECT!

When is this happening?

Starting 3 PM PST on November 29, 2021, to access:

FPGA software and design files, visit Microchip.com (will be live on November 29, 2021) Product pages which will redirect you to myMicrochip.

FPGA licenses (free and paid), visit microchipDIRECT

Important Note: You can access myMicrochip and microchipDIRECT websites using the same login credentials. If you are a new user to Microchip portals, we recommend you to register on myMicrochip to access your Software, Design files or on microchipDIRECT to access your FPGA licenses.

To this end, Microsemi will transfer to Microchip, its affiliates, or its service providers, any personal information you or someone acting on your behalf provided to Microsemi electronically or otherwise, or that Microsemi otherwise collected from your use of the SoC Portal or any Microsemi websites.

What are the next steps?

Based on your user accounts, here are some scenarios you should consider:

Scenario 1: If you have user accounts for both Microsemi SoC portal and myMicrochip or microchipDIRECT registered with the same email address, you will be able to access FPGA Software, design files, and your licenses using your existing login credentials.

Scenario 2: If you have user accounts for both Microsemi SoC portal and myMicrochip or microchipDIRECT but registered with different email addresses, send an email to FPGASoftwareSupport@microchip.com to view your Microsemi FPGA licenses using microchipDIRECT.

Scenario 3: If you have a Microsemi SoC user account with your current email address, but do not have a myMicrochip or microchipDIRECT account, you need to reset password on myMicrochip account using the same email address associated with your Microsemi SoC account. You can access myMicrochip and microchipDIRECT websites using the same login credentials.
