Overview
The EVB-PCI12000C is a demonstration and evaluation platform that provides the necessary requirements and interface options for evaluating the PCI12000C, a single-chip PCIe switch with programmable I/O options (I2C/SPI/UART/GPIO), on a six-layer RoHS-compliant Printed Circuit Board (PCB). This kit allows the user to gain an understanding of the product and accelerate the integration of the PCI12000C into the user’s design.
PCIe Precision Time Measurement (PTM) provides for coherence over the PCIe switching function. Of specific interest to customers requiring PTM between their root complex and endpoints.
EVB-PCI12000C demonstrates PCIe fanout / packet switching together with UART providing compatibility in Linux®, Microsoft® Windows®, and Android. Options exist for QNX, VxWorks and FreeBSD.
An additional software tool, MPLAB Connect, is used for advanced configuration and diagnostics. This extends to PCIe virtual eye diagram. A fantastic solution for designers to visualise PCIe connections.
