Overview
The EVB-PCI11101C is a demonstration and evaluation platform that provides the necessary requirements and interface options for evaluating the PCI11101C, a single-chip PCIe switch with an integrated USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10G) xHCI Host Controller and programmable I/O options (I2C/SPI/UART/GPIO), on a six-layer RoHS-compliant Printed Circuit Board (PCB). This kit allows the user to gain an understanding of the product and accelerate the integration of the EVB-PCI11101 Evaluation Kit into the user’s design.
Users of this platform are typically working with M.2 abstractions and require a comprehensive solution for radio systems. This is accomplished using M.2KeyB.
EVB-PCI11101C demonstrates PCIe, USB xHCI Host and I2C/SPI/UART/GPIO driver compatibility in Linux®, Microsoft® Windows®, and Android. Options exist for QNX, VxWorks and FreeBSD.
An additional software tool, MPLAB Connect, is used for advanced configuration and diagnostics. This extends to PCIe virtual eye diagram. A fantastic solution for designers to visualise PCIe connections.
