Overview
Tools available for evaluation of the ATA8350 and ATA8352 Ultra-Wideband (UWB) transceiver devices include the following:
- ATA8350 evaluation boards:
- UWB Xplained Pro Extension board with one ATA8350-EB1 module
- ATAUWB-EK1 module with one ATA8350-EB1 module
- ATA8352 evaluation boards:
- UWB Xplained Pro Extension board with one or two ATA8352-EB1 modules
- ATAUWB-EK1 module with one ATA8352-EB1 module
- Additional boards to use the ATA8350 or ATA8352 evaluation boards:
- ATSAMC21-XPRO
- OLED Xplained Pro Extension
- UWB antennas
- Firmware is available for both the ATA830 and ATA8352 to demonstrate the following:
- Distance measurement (VRPR)
- Distance measurment using Double Sided - Two Way Ranging (DS-TWR)
- Data communication (TXRX)
- Evaluation of user selectable operating modes and parametric settings
- Test modes
NOTE: Contact factory for assistance in ordering the needed boards.
This broad collection of tools allow the user to calculate distance by measuring the Time of Flight or the Time Difference of Arrival between two UWB nodes. It is also possible to study data transfer between nodes. For system optimization, a wide assortment of user configurable operating parameters and modes are easily accessible and selectable . For RF spectral testing, BER measurements or crystal calibration, a special test software package is also available..
