SAM9X7 Series

Hybrid MCUs for Creating Low-Cost, Low-Power Graphics and Other Applications

Our SAM9X7 series hybrid MCUs are low-power and cost-optimized Arm926EJ-S™ core based microprocessors (MPUs) that run up to 800 MHz. These devices include a powerful set of peripherals for connectivity and user interface applications such as MIPI® DSI® and Low-Voltage Differential Signaling (LVDS) with 2D graphics, MIPI CSI-2® cameras, and Gigabit Ethernet with Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) and CAN FD support. SAM9X7 MPUs also offer advanced security functions like tamper detection, secure boot, secure key storage, True Random Number Generator (TRNG), Physically Unclonable Functions (PUFs) and higher-performance crypto accelerators for Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and Secure Hash Algorithm (SHA).

Built-in DDR2/3(L) and QSPI Flash support makes SAM9X7 a great platform for user interface applications such as HMI-based clusters, thermostats, Electric Vehicle (EV) chargers and connected devices like control panels and secure IoT gateways. The low-power features and small packages are well-suited for wearables and other battery-operated consumer devices.
