Overview
Microchip offers an FPGA-based MIPI CSI-2 transmit reference solution with PolarFire and PolarFire SoC FPGAs. It is transceiver-enabled, which upgrades our GPIO-based IP solution to support data rates of up to 2.5Gbps/lane and facilitate 4K video data.

The PolarFire® Video and Imaging Kit must be used to work with MIPI Transmit FMC Card.

AN5494 demonstrates how to generate and display MIPI CSI-2 video for the below configurations
- Two-lane design at 800Mbps/lane for transmitting full HD video at 30 fps on a Raspberry Pi
- Four-lane reference design at 2.5Gbps/lane for transmitting 4K video at 120 fps
