Product Roundup: June 2026

Microchip's Product Roundup features a selection of our latest products, reference designs and software solutions. Explore how these innovative technologies can elevate your next design project.

AVR® LA Microcontrollers

Microchip’s AVR® LA Microcontrollers (MCUs) deliver reliable, low power capacitive touch in electrically noisy environments such as appliances, industrial equipment and battery-powered IoT devices. A built-in Peripheral Touch Controller (PTC) with Driven Shield+ and Boost Mode helps keep buttons, sliders, wheels and 2D touch surfaces responsive near motors, pumps and switching power supplies, reducing false touches and improving robustness without added external components. With wide 1.62V to 5.5V operation, designers can standardize on one MCU platform across both battery and mains-powered products. The family supports up to 27 touch channels in compact 14- to 32-pin packages and integrates a 20 MHz AVR CPU with up to 32 KB Flash for real-time touch processing and application control. Configurable Custom Logic (CCL) offloads repetitive tasks, while a 10-bit ADC, analog comparator, and three 16-bit timers support precision motor control and sensor conditioning. Program and Debug Interface Disable (PDID) protects production firmware from unauthorized access, while USART, SPI and I²C interfaces simplify connections to displays, sensors and wireless modules.

DSA6103 – Lower EMI with 10BASE-T1S Endpoints

The DSA6103 single-output MEMS oscillator is engineered for demanding automotive environments. Optimized for 10BASE-T1S Ethernet endpoints, this variant features a low-drive-output architecture for RMII interfaces that significantly reduces board-level EMI, helping designers meet stringent SAE J2962-3 compliance requirements. This enables reliable operation even when driving multiple endpoints without interfering with sensitive systems such as automotive satellite navigation. With just 13 ps RMS period jitter, the DSA6103 delivers more than adequate performance for 10 Mbps PHY clocking. Built on advanced MEMS technology, it offers exceptional reliability (<1 DPPM, <5 FIT) and excellent frequency stability of ±20 ppm across temperature. The device also supports energy-efficient designs with ultra-low power consumption, including only 3 mA active current and approximately 1 µA in standby, along with a fast 1.5 ms startup time for rapid system wake-up. By simplifying clocking implementation, the DSA6103 helps reduce board complexity and integration overhead in 10BASE-T1S architectures. It is available both as a standalone timing solution and as a companion device for LAN8670/1-based designs.

High-Performance, General Purpose PMIC for MPUs

Microchip introduces the MCP16503, an optimally integrated PMIC, for general purpose MPUs (Embedded Microprocessor Units) requiring Dynamic Voltage Scaling (DVS). The regulators' start-up voltages are adjustable using resistors. After start-up, regulators can be fully adjusted by using I2C. The MCP16503 integrates four DC-DC buck regulators, two auxiliary LDOs and a comprehensive interface to the MPU, which includes an interrupt flag and a 1 MHz I2C interface. The buck channels can support loads up to 1A and are designed to be 100% duty cycle capable.  The integration and flexibility provided by MCP16503 reflects Microchip’s strength in providing proven, system‑level solutions that pair seamlessly with its industrial and edge AI computing platforms, enabling faster time‑to‑market and lower overall design risk for next‑generation industrial applications.
