Summary

The OS85654 Streaming I/O Companion is a High-Performance MediaLB®-I/O-Port Expander for MOST® Intelligent Network Interface Controller (INIC).
With its high speed interface and its powerful routing engine, the OS85654 can be used for various audio and video applications such as Head Units, Rear Seat Entertainment, Amplifiers, TV and Radio Tuners and Video Displays.

The OS85654 works together with SMSC INICs for all MOST speed grades (MOST25, MOST50 and MOST150) and can replace many of today's expensive FPGA solutions.
The primary function of the OS85654 is to route data streams simultaneously between industry standard application I/O interfaces, including MediaLB® (3-Pin), TSI, SPI, I²C and I²S.

The OS85654 includes a DTCP encryption/decryption engine that can provide secure data transfer between sources and sinks located across the network. The DTCP co-processor autonomously encrypts and decrypts up to eight synchronous and/or isochronous data channels routed through the device. It includes full AKE functionality, and supports both M6 and AES-128 ciphers according to ‘DTCP for MOST’ and ‘DTCP-IP’. This copy protection is required for securing the audio and video content of applications such as DVD, Blu-ray Disc™ and HD broadcast.
