The MCP6S21, MCP6S22, MCP6S26, and MCP6S28 Programmable Gain Amplifiers offer 1, 2, 6 or 8 input channels respectively and eight steps of gain. These devices are programmable over an SPI bus and thus add gain control and input channel selection to the embedded control system. This is all achieved in one simple integration that allows for considerably greater bandwidth at a low supply current.
The MCP6S2X PGA Evaluation Board (Rev. 4) features the MCP6S21/91 and MCP6S26 devices. The PGA devices interface to a PIC16F676 providing versatile selection of input channels and gains to evaluate device performance. The board supports multiple input signal sources and two devices are cascaded to produce a gain between 1 V/V and 1024 V/V.
This is a blank PCB that allows the operation of Microchip Technology’s 8-pin devices to be easily evaluated. Each device pin is connected to a pull-up resistor, a pull-down resistor, an in-line resistor, and a loading capacitor. The PCB pads allow through hole or surface mount connectors to be installed to ease connection to the board. Additional passive component footprints are on the...
