The MCP1701A is a CMOS low dropout positive voltage regulator with a maximum input voltage of 10V that can source up to 250 mA with a low input to output voltage differential of 380 mV at 200 mA. This low dropout voltage combined with low current consumption of 1.0 µA typical makes this part ideal for battery operated systems. This part is recommended for applications where the input voltage is between 6.0V and 10.0V. For applications where input voltages are less than 6.0V, Microchip recommends the MCP1700. The MCP1701A is offered in SOT-23-3, SOT-89-3 and TO-92-3 packages.
