Summary


The ATMXT1067TD-A Automotive touchscreen controller is aimed at display sizes up to 10.5”; used in center stacks, navigation systems or rear seat entertainment systems. This brand new family of automotive touchscreen controller brings Microchip’s unmatched Adaptive Sensing technology to the Automotive market. Microchip’s latest solution offers superior signal-to-noise capability to address the requirements of thick lens and thick glove support; supporting multiple thick gloved touches and operation when fingers or surfaces are wet or moist, whilst preventing the water from being detected as a false touch event. This technology also enables adaptive touch utilizing self-capacitance and mutual-capacitance measurements so all touches are recognized and false touch detections are avoided.
Microchip’s new signal shaping technology is lowering emissions significantly and ensures that large touchscreen solutions based on the ATMXT1067TD-A meet the CISPR-25 Level 5 requirements for electromagnetic interference in Automobiles.
The controllers also incorporate a new self and sensor diagnostic function, which constantly monitors the integrity of the touch system. The new ATMXT1067TD-A device brings these smart diagnostic features in support of the Automotive Safety Integrity Level as specified in ISO26262.
