Device Overview

Summary

The ATBTLC1000-ZR is an ultra-low power Bluetooth®  Low Energy System in Package (SiP) module with Integrated ARM Cortex-M0 MCU, Transceiver, Modem, MAC, PA, TR Switch, and Power Management Unit (PMU).  It can be used as a Bluetooth Low Energy link controller or data pump with external host MCU.

The qualified Bluetooth Low Energy protocol stack is stored in dedicated ROM, the firmware includes L2CAP service layer protocols, Security Manager, Attribute protocol (ATT), Generic Attribute Profile (GATT) and the Generic Access Profile (GAP).

BluSDK supports application profiles such as Proximity, Thermometer, Heart Rate, Blood Pressure, and many others. Complete IDE tools through Atmel Studio 7 with many getting-starting application examples available for download and use through ASF3 and START

The Microchip Bluetooth Data (MBD) mobile app is available to speed up development for both Android and iOS.

BluSDK 6.2 - Added PDS service among other bug fixes.

BluSDK 6.1 - Added support for ATBTLC1000-XR & ATBTLC1000-ZR, added support for additional baud rates, added new API to support cooperative multi-tasking RTOS.

Older versions of BluSDK are not recommended for new designs.
