AirSnitch refers to a set of research-identified weaknesses in Wi-Fi client isolation mechanisms, which are intended to prevent direct communication between clients on the same network or co-located networks.
The research demonstrates that client isolation is not standardized and may be inconsistently implemented across vendors. Under certain conditions, an attacker within wireless range may be able to bypass isolation mechanisms and impact clients on the network by intercepting or injecting traffic.
Exploitation depends on network configuration, access point behavior and implementation of client isolation features. These issues do not represent flaws in Wi-Fi encryption protocols themselves but rather limitations in how client isolation is implemented in network devices.
Vulnerabilities Covered
This page addresses AirSnitch-related client isolation bypass techniques described in academic research. No Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) have been assigned to:
Bypassing client isolation via co-located networks
Bypassing client isolation within a network
Affected Products and Resolution
Last updated: June 30, 2026
Based on their current feature set, our Wi‑Fi devices do not support client isolation and therefore are not impacted by the AirSnitch vulnerability.
Customers are encouraged to review their configuration to determine whether client isolation is needed for their use case. In systems with multiple co-located networks, proper isolation must be implemented by the system designer.
