Touchscreens are a modern trend for the user interface on Electric Vehicle (EV) chargers, where not only the large public chargers, but also the wall boxes are adopting touchscreens for their designs. These terminals are mostly used outdoors and are exposed to rain, snow, dust, sunlight and vandalism. Secure PIN entry on the main touchscreen can help EV charger manufacturers avoid the use of a separate smaller touchscreen terminal for the payment function.
