High-Voltage, Battery Management System (BMS) Reference Designs

Scalable, Flexible High-Voltage, Battery Management System Reference Design Block Diagrams

Our high‑voltage, modular Battery Management System (BMS) reference design is a scalable, flexible solution based on a three‑module architecture comprising a battery management controller, voltage monitor and current monitor. Its modular design enables efficient monitoring and protection across low‑ to high‑voltage battery systems, while supporting seamless scalability as system requirements grow. Each voltage monitoring module integrates an eight‑channel Analog Front End (AFE) with a full‑scale measurement range of up to 32V for accurate battery cell voltage sensing. Battery current is measured using a shunt‑based topology, and high‑accuracy voltage and current measurement is achieved through an analog front-end-based design using our PAC1952, enabling precise energy monitoring and protection.
