DisplayPort RX IP is a VESA DisplayPort 1.4-compliant receiver solution designed for PolarFire® and PolarFire SoC FPGA devices. The IP functions as a DisplayPort sink, receiving video and audio streams from DisplayPort source devices and converting them into FPGA-friendly video and audio interfaces for downstream processing. It supports Single Stream Transport (SST) operation and provides dynamic lane configuration with support for one, two, or four DisplayPort lanes operating at 1.62, 2.7, or 5.4 Gbps. The architecture includes lane receivers, descramblers, video and audio stream recovery blocks, AUX channel management, optional HDCP support, and a video re-timer module for video synchronization and timing regeneration. The IP supports RGB video formats with color depths up to 16 bits per component and can receive up to eight channels of LPCM audio through native or AXI4-Stream interfaces. DisplayPort RX IP integrates seamlessly with PolarFire transceivers and supports DisplayPort link training, AUX communication, Hot Plug Detect (HPD), EDID/DPCD management, and HDCP-protected content reception. These capabilities make it an ideal solution for video capture systems, display controllers, industrial imaging, KVM applications, embedded vision systems, and professional display equipment.
