GNSSDO and GPSDO Modules

Small-Form-Factor Advanced Timing Systems

Our GNSS Disciplined Oscillator (GNSSDO) modules combine high-performance oscillators and our proprietary holdover, aging and environmental correction algorithms into a small-form-factor PNT system. Our flexible GNSSDOs and GPSDOs can be integrated as a stand-alone system or as the critical PNT subsystem within a larger design. These modules are excellent options for defense applications, 5G base stations, digital audio broadcasts and general timing and instrumentation applications

Custom Solutions and Capabilities

Along with our standard off-the-shelf modules, we also offer custom capabilities. We can design, develop and adjust our modules and solutions to fit your specific application requirements. Our expertise in the manufacturing and design of crystal oscillators, atomic clocks, PNT systems and algorithms can be applied in a custom level solution. Our capabilities include:

  • Multiple form factor—low Size, Weight, Power and Cost (SWaP-C), modules, box level, rackmount
  • Ruggedization—high shock/vibration, board coatings and low g-sensitivity
  • Multiple frequency outputs up to 100 MHz
  • Ultra-low phase noise and Allan Deviation (ADEV)
  • Multiple inputs
  • Embedded receivers and oscillators
  • Custom firmware
  • GNSS, M-Code and alternate-constellation receivers available
  • All standard, off-the-shelf modules that are CE/RoHS compliant

Software

We can help you with the integration of our GNSSDO and GPSDOs because we have spent years developing the Vectron® Serial Interface Protocol (VSIP) and Vectron Disciplined Oscillator Module Monitor 3 (VDOM3) software. These solutions help you get the most out of our GNSSDOs and GPSDOs by enabling you to configure many settings on the GNSSDO and GPSDO over the serial interface or using the GUI from the VDOM3 software. VDOM can also be used to track and report the status of the module and plot the performance of the oscillator, whether you are using one of our OCXOs or atomic clocks. The software also allows you to monitor the satellites being used in the GNSS receiver. Our mature software can be customized for specific users and applications as well.

Vectron Serial Interface Protocol (VSIP)

  • NMEA-0183-based protocol for communications with GNSSDO and GPSDO modules
  • Enables a user to configure specific module settings, such as GNSS observables
  • Can configure alarms, holdover settings, reference switching and other functions

Vectron Disciplined Oscillator Module (VDOM3) Monitor

  • Monitors GNSSDOs and GPSDOs from either a PC or embedded system
  • Can track and report module status, plot oscillator timing performance, track satellites and perform other functions
