Overview
This Dual-Inline Module (DIM) features our dsPIC33CK256MC006 64-pin TQFP Value Line Digital Signal Controller (DSC). It can be used to evaluate the entire family of dsPIC33CK Value Line devices for motor control applications. It supports external inverter board-based op amps for motor current feedback. This DIM will help demonstrate and develop motor control applications on dsPIC33CK256MC006 DSC when used with any of the Motor Control System (MCS) inverter boards, such as the MCLV-48V-300W and MCHV-230VAC-1.5kW.
This DIM is not compatible with the older MCLV-2 (Part No. DM330021-2) or MCHV (Part No. DM330023-2 or Part No. DM330023-3) PIM-based inverter boards.
- 120-pin DIM card edge connector supports higher-pin count packages

- Pull-up resistor network for selecting the external inverter board-based op amps to measure motor-phase current and/or the bus current

The Motor Control System (MCS) Development Tool Ecosystem enables you to rapidly develop motor control designs controlled by dsPIC® DSCs, SAM, PIC32MK, PIC32MC, and PIC32C MCUs. The MCS Development Tool Ecosystem consists of modular and interchangeable inverter boards, controller boards (Dual In-line Modules or DIMs), and Xplained Pro headers for user defined expansion. The MCHV-230VAC-1.5kW Motor Control High-Voltage Development Board is targeted to drive a three-phase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM), Brushless DC (BLDC) Motor or an AC Induction Motor (ACIM) in both sensored and sensorless operation.

The Motor Control System (MCS) Development Tool Ecosystem enables rapid prototyping of motor control designs using the dsPIC® DSCs, SAM, PIC32MK, PIC32MC and PIC32C MCUs. The MCS Development Tools consist of modular and interchangeable inverter boards, controller boards (Dual In-Line Modules or DIMs) and expansion boards. DIMs and expansion boards must be purchased separately, see the links for the MC DIMs below. The MCLV-48V-300W Inverter Board is targeted to drive a low-voltage (12-48V) three-phase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) or Brushless DC (BLDC) motor up to 25A RMS continuous per phase at 25°C.
