Overview
This low cost demo board is the ideal complement to the MPLAB® ICD 2 In Circuit Debugger for users who wants to evaluate the performance of Microchip high-end PIC18F 8-bit microcontrollers.
Since the PIC18F8720 contains a superset of all the memory and peripherals available in the entire 64- and 80-pin PIC18FXX20 family, this board can be used to demonstrate the following devices: PIC18F8720, PIC18F8620, PIC18F8520, PIC18F6720, PIC18F6620 and PIC18F6520.
This board will also be available for demonstrating the following devices (sharing a compatible pin out): PIC18F8680, PIC18F8585, PIC18F8621, PIC18F6680, PIC18F6585 and PIC18F6621

- PIC18F8720, 128K Flash, 80-pin TQFP microcontroller
- Full pin break out for easy wire wrap/prototyping
- 20 MHz crystal oscillator
- Convenient connection for the MPLAB ICD 2 (In-Circuit Debugger) for in-circuit programming and debugging
- Power supply connector and 5V voltage regulator (requires a standard 9-12V power supply, sold separately)
- Potentiometer (connected to 10-bit A/D, analog input channel)
- Temperature sensor demo included (illustrates Microchip’s award winning TC74 device)
