PASSIVE KEYLESS ENTRY REFERENCE DESIGN

Overview

This product is no longer available for sale.
The Passive Keyless Entry (PKE) system provides the user with the convenience of communicating with a RKE/immobilizer/security system without pressing any buttons.

This reference design contains three boards:

  • Base Station – Initiates communication by sending out a Low Frequency signal between fixed time intervals to search for the paired Key Fob.
  • Key Fob – When the Key Fob detects the signal it sends back an Ultra High Frequency acknowledgment signal.
  • Receiver/Decoder – Receives the signal sent out by the Key Fob, and upon positive authentication, signals for the door to be unlocked.
