Overview
This 24-Volt 3-phase Brushless DC permanent magnet Leadshine motor comes with Hall-Effect sensors for 6-step commutation and has a 2500 PPR incremental encoder for position control applications. It can also be controlled with a sensorless Back EMF (BEMF) or Field Oriented Control (FOC) algorithm. This Leadshine motor is perfect for applications in mobile automation, instrumentation and medical equipment such as high-speed copiers and printers, ATM machines, medical analyzers, mail processing and sorters and general-purpose equipment. This motor is ideally paired for use with the MCS MCLV-48V-300W Development Board (EV18H47A) or the dsPIC33CK Low Voltage Motor Control Development Board (DM330031).

• 2500 pulses per revolution (PPR) single-turn incremental optical encoder with index pulse with differential RS-422 line driver signaling, and a frequency response of up to 300KHz (at 4,000 RPM)

The Motor Control System (MCS) Development Tool Ecosystem enables rapid prototyping of motor control designs using the dsPIC® DSCs, SAM, PIC32MK, PIC32MC and PIC32C MCUs. The MCS Development Tools consist of modular and interchangeable inverter boards, controller boards (Dual In-Line Modules or DIMs) and expansion boards. DIMs and expansion boards must be purchased separately, see the links for the MC DIMs below. The MCLV-48V-300W Inverter Board is targeted to drive a low-voltage (12-48V) three-phase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) or Brushless DC (BLDC) motor up to 25A RMS continuous per phase at 25°C.

The dsPIC33CK Voltage Motor Control (LVMC) Development Board is a cost-effective rapid development platform for Brushless DC (BLDC), Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) and Internal Permanent Magnet (IPM) motor control applications. The LVMC development board is ideal to explore and prototype motor control applications that operate from 12 to 48 Volts and up to 10 Amps of continuous current. The board can also support higher current, up to 20A with an optional fan or heatsink.
