Overview
The Smart Card/SIM Card (SC) PICtail™ Daughter Board is an expansion board used for evaluating, reading and writing data on Smart Cards and SIM card.
This daughter board requires an Explorer-16 Development Board, or PIC18 Explorer board to complete the board configuration.
- Supports a wide range of Smart cards and SIM cards
- Operates on a wide range of voltages from 3.3V – 5.0V DC
- Includes PICtail™ Daughter Board and PICtail™ Plus Board connection interfaces
- Additionally, Microchip also offers the free Microchip Smart Card ISO-7816 Software Library and applications notes to support the development of Smart Card applications for PIC18 and PIC24 microcontrollers.
