This application note provides a 230VAC off-line LED driver, three steps dimming solution with load-side short-circuit protection using the HV9805 device. Based on a boost topology with power factor correction (PFC) and output overvoltage protection (OVP) followed by a linear output current regulator, this solution also offers soft enable-disable control.
