Microchip provides design solutions targeted to support next generation Ethernet switches, EtherCAT® industrial controllers, and 10/100 Industrial Ethernet MAC/PHY controllers. The Ethernet switch products are divided into host bus and MII categories with the host bus versions supporting a full-featured Ethernet MAC residing behind the switch fabric. The non-host bus versions support various MII, RMII, and Turbo MII options with 1- and 2-port options.
